An Art Deco era brooch depicting the Roman Goddess Diana with her dog. Dogs are often depicted with Diana, who is associated with hunting, the moon, and the underworld. The Goddess and her dog are reverse carved and painted in silver on a rectangular crystal. The crystal sits in a costume metal frame with fancy prongs like a wrought iron fence. Circa 1920.
