Artist Statement:
I am a silversmithing instructor in Salt Lake City, UT.
The Ring for a New Now is inspired by our new and surreal reality. The vessel holds a small bottle of hand sanitizer for that instant feeling of security, The Clear quartz is a healing stone with a gentle reminder to “stay home” behind it. The mask on the front is another reminder of these strange times. That was inspired by stacks of masks I made to donate.
